  • Cooking spray
  • 1 (15.25-oz.) box brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on the box
  • 1 cup (170 g) chopped dark chocolate (60% to 70% cacao)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup (115 g) confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 Tbsp whole milk (or more)
  • 1/2 tsp corn syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • White gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8″ x 8″ baking pan with parchment paper, greased with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the box instructions and pour into the prepared pan. Bake as directed and let cool completely.
  3. For the ganache, heat the heavy cream until bubbles form, then pour over the chopped chocolate, let sit, then whisk until smooth.
  4. Spread the ganache over the cooled brownies and refrigerate until fully set, about 30 minutes.
  5. Lift the brownies out using the parchment, trim edges, and cut into 16 squares.
  6. Whisk together confectioners’ sugar, whole milk, corn syrup (if using), and vanilla extract until thick and pourable.
  7. Add white gel food coloring to achieve the desired shade.
  8. Use a piping bag to drizzle the icing on top of the brownies.

Notes
