A comforting dessert featuring a creamy pumpkin base topped with a crunchy oat crumble, perfect for fall gatherings.

  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (plus more for topping)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (divided)
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt (plus a pinch for topping)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, cream, 1 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, remaining 1/2 tsp cinnamon, additional brown sugar, and 1/4 tsp salt.
  5. Cut in the cold butter until resembling coarse crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle topping evenly over the pumpkin layer and add pecans if using.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes until the topping is golden and the filling is set.
  8. Let cool for a few moments before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra touch of indulgence.
