  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp hot honey
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix Ingredients: Combine flour and salt in a bowl and create a well; add yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring to combine.
  3. Knead the Dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 30 minutes.
  5. Oven Settings: Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  6. Roll Out Dough: Punch down the dough, roll it out to your desired thickness on a floured surface.
  7. Transfer to Peel: Transfer rolled-out dough onto a floured pizza peel if using a stone.
  8. Spread Sauce: Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough.
  9. Layer Cheese: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the sauce.
  10. Add Pepperoni: Distribute pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  11. Dollop Ricotta: Add dollops of ricotta on top of the pizza.
