A festive Pull-Apart Christmas Tree filled with gooey mozzarella, baked to golden perfection, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. refrigerated pizza dough
  • Egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tbsp water)
  • 7 mozzarella sticks
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. thinly sliced basil
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped rosemary
  • Marinara, warmed (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a floured surface, divide the pizza dough into two pieces and roll each into a long rectangle. Cut the dough into 2-inch squares to create a total of 33 squares.
  3. Wrap each dough square around a piece of mozzarella, forming sealed balls and place seam-side down on the baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree. Brush with egg wash.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Whisk together melted butter, Parmesan, and herbs, then brush onto the baked dough balls before serving with marinara.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using whole wheat dough or reduced-fat cheese.
