A decadent dessert that combines rich brownies with creamy peanut butter and chocolate ganache.

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. Whisk dry ingredients together separately, then mix into wet ingredients.
  3. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl and mix until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
  5. Melt chocolate chips with vegetable oil in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Pour over peanut butter layer.
  6. Chill for at least 1 hour, cut into squares, and serve.

Notes

Use coconut oil as a dairy-free substitute or almond butter for those with peanut allergies.
