A delightful dessert that combines classic pecan pie flavors with the convenience of a dump cake, offering a gooey filling topped with crunchy pecans.

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, melted butter, corn syrup, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  3. Evenly dump the dry yellow cake mix into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the dry cake mix ensuring it is fully soaked.
  5. Scatter the chopped pecans on top.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes until edges are golden and middle is set.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
