  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 skin-on, bone-in turkey drumsticks (10 to 12 oz. each)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the butter, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the turkey legs dry and generously coat them with the butter mixture, rubbing under the skin.
  4. Wrap each turkey leg in foil and place them on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about two hours until an instant-read thermometer reads 165 degrees in the thickest part.
  6. Unwrap the turkey legs and broil on high for 8 to 10 minutes to crisp the skin.
  7. Let the turkey legs rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
