A tender and smoky beef brisket cooked in a slow cooker, infusing rich flavors and creating cherished memories around the table.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the brisket and pat it dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
  4. Optional: In a skillet, sear brisket for 3-4 minutes on each side until deep brown.
  5. Transfer the brisket to the slow cooker, pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Once finished, remove the brisket and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

For a healthier version, use a leaner cut of brisket and low-sodium Worcestershire sauce.
