Ingredients

Scale
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped rosemary
  • 1 tsp. chopped thyme leaves
  • 2 lb. ground turkey
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and lightly grease a large deep baking dish with cooking spray. In a large skillet set over medium heat, drizzle the olive oil. Add the chopped onion, cooking until soft and translucent (about 5 minutes). Season with kosher salt and black pepper, stir in the minced garlic and herbs, and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute). Remove from heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, egg, and sautéed vegetables. Mix until fully combined and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to the baking dish and shape into a loaf. In a small bowl, mix ketchup and brown sugar, then brush over the loaf. Bake until the internal temperature reaches 160°F, about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
