Ingredients

For the Pretzel Trees

  • 4 cups mini pretzels Provides a satisfying crunch and forms the base of the trees.
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (dark, milk, or white) Creates a rich, creamy coating.
  • 1 cup green candy melts For drizzling that resembles Christmas tree needles.
  • 1 cup assorted candies (M&Ms, sprinkles, etc.) For decorating the trees.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil Optional, for a smooth, glossy finish on the chocolate.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Take three mini pretzels and stack them on top of each other to form a Christmas tree shape on the lined baking sheet.

Chocolate Coating

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
  • Dip each pretzel tree into the melted chocolate and let any excess drip off before returning it to the baking sheet.

Decoration

  • While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your assorted candies on top for decoration.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
  • Melt the green candy melts in a separate bowl and drizzle over each tree.

Notes

For added creativity, use different types of chocolate chips for layering or try a mix of pretzel shapes. Consider adding a pinch of sea salt for a sweet and salty contrast. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
