  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the fresh cranberries, chopped apples, and chopped onion.
  • Sprinkle in the sugar, drizzle in the apple cider vinegar, and add the ground ginger, mustard seeds, and cinnamon. Stir gently.
  • Turn up the heat and bring the mixture to a boil, allowing cranberries to burst.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat and let simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper to your preference.
  • Let cool completely before transferring to a jar.

Notes

Quick Cool Down: Spread chutney on a parchment-lined baking sheet to speed up cooling. Customize flavor by tweaking spices; adding cayenne for heat.
