Preparation

  • Wash and dry the apples, then slice them into uniform wedges about half an inch thick. Toss in a bowl with lemon juice.
  • If making homemade caramel, melt it gently in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until creamy and smooth. Alternatively, microwave store-bought caramel for 30 seconds and stir until pourable.
  • Lay the apple slices on a large platter or serving dish in a circular pattern, overlapping for visual appeal.

Assembly

  • Drizzle the warm, melted caramel generously over the apple slices.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips over the caramel drizzled apples.
  • Finish with a pinch of sea salt flakes.

Notes
