Ingredients

For the Kebabs

  • 600 grams ground beef (lean) You can substitute with ground chicken or turkey for a healthier option.
  • 1 medium yellow onion (quartered) Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 1 cup fresh parsley (washed and patted dry) Infuses freshness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon seven spice (pre-mixed spice blend)
  • teaspoon cayenne Adjust to taste for spiciness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In the bowl of your food processor, add quartered onion and fresh parsley. Process until finely chopped.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with the onion and parsley mixture, and sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, seven spice, and cayenne. Mix thoroughly using your hands.

Forming & Grilling

  • Take a portion of the mixture and mold it around the skewer, aiming for a thickness of about one to one-and-a-half inches.
  • Prepare your grill: If using charcoal, get the coals glowing. For a gas grill, preheat it to medium-high and lightly brush it with oil.
  • Place the skewers on the grill, cooking one side for roughly 4 minutes before turning to cook for another 4 minutes, until the meat is cooked through.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Consider lightly wetting your hands when forming the kebabs to prevent sticking. Adding a splash of lemon juice to the mixture enhances the flavor.
