Garlic Herb Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt Creamy and tangy
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice Brightening flavors with a zesty kick
  • 1 Tbsp lemon zest Adding aromatic brightness
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced Enhancing the sauce's savory profile

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, olive oil, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Gently fold the mixture until all ingredients are just combined.
  • Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the garlic herb sauce by whisking together Greek yogurt, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, and salt.
  • Once the meatloaf is done, allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serving

  • Serve the meatloaf hot with the garlic herb sauce drizzled generously over the top or on the side.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to prevent a dense loaf. Let the meatloaf rest before slicing for juicier results.
