  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Bright and zesty.
  • oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper To taste for seasoning.

For the Bowl

  • 2 cups cooked grains (brown rice or quinoa) Nutty and filling.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes Sweet bursts of flavor.
  • 1 cup cucumber Crisp and refreshing.
  • 1 medium red onion Adds depth and character.
  • 1 cup Kalamata olives Earthy and briny.

For the Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Base for tzatziki sauce.
  • 1/2 cup grated cucumber Adds freshness.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Enhances flavor.
  • 1 clove minced garlic For additional flavor.
  • 1 handful fresh dill Herbal flavoring.
  • salt and pepper To taste.

Instructions

Marinate the Steak

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of olive oil with minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  • Place the sirloin steak in the mixture, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Cover and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for greater flavor.

Prepare Tzatziki

  • In a separate bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, and fresh dill. Season with salt and pepper. Stir well and refrigerate.

Cook the Steak

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches desired doneness (medium-rare is about 130°F).
  • Once cooked, let the steak rest on a cutting board for about five minutes before slicing into thin strips.

Assemble Your Bowl

  • Begin with a layer of warm cooked grains at the bottom of a bowl.
  • Top with sliced steak, followed by cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, thinly sliced red onion, and Kalamata olives.
  • Finally, drizzle the homemade tzatziki sauce generously over your creation.

Notes

Ensure the steak is well-coated while marinating and use a skillet that sears well. Always let the steak rest post-cooking to redistribute flavors.
