Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine chopped spinach, grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.
  • Lightly flour your work surface and unfold the thawed puff pastry. Roll it out slightly to smooth the edges.
  • On one half of the pastry, spread the spinach and cheese mixture evenly.
  • Gently fold the other half of the pastry over the filling, tucking in the edges to seal.
  • Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the pastry into 1-inch strips and twist each strip gently.
  • Place the twists on your prepared baking sheet and brush each with the beaten egg.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the twists are puffed and golden-brown.
  • Once baked, sprinkle with additional Parmesan if desired, serve warm, and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure to thaw puff pastry properly to avoid breaks. Squeeze excess moisture from the spinach to keep the filling dry. Egg wash is essential for a golden finish.
