Ingredients
  

For the pot roast

  • 3 pounds chuck roast The star protein, transforms into tender goodness.
  • 1 ounce packet ranch dressing mix Adds a creamy, herby kick.
  • 1 ounce packet au jus gravy mix Ensures the meat is moist and savory.
  • 1/4 cup butter Provides richness.
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers Adds a tangy zing.
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice Enhances moisture and flavor depth.

For the sliders

  • 12 count Hawaiian rolls Soft and slightly sweet.
  • 12 slices provolone cheese Melts beautifully.
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers for topping Adds flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons butter for brushing Enhances the brown crust.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt Elevates the flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, finely chopped Freshens up the dish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Add the chuck roast to the slow cooker. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix on top.
  • Add 1/4 cup of butter, 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers, and the pepperoncini juice, ensuring even distribution.

Cooking

  • Set the slow cooker to cook on high for 6 hours or low for approximately 8 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the meat with two forks and remove visible fat.

Assembling and Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom layer in the dish.
  • Layer 6 slices of provolone over the rolls, followed by the shredded meat.
  • Add the remaining provolone cheese and sprinkle with 1/4 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers.
  • Place the top half of the rolls over everything.
  • In a small bowl, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and stir in garlic salt and parsley. Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the roast is perfectly cooked. For an extra kick, add sliced jalapeños. Leftovers can be repurposed into tacos or nachos.
