  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce Delivers a satisfying level of heat; adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Enriches the dish with its nutty flavor.
  • 1/2 cup green onions (chopped, plus extra for garnish) Adds freshness and color.
  • 1 sheet nori (cut into small strips) For a crunchy texture and an authentic sushi feel.
  • optional Tobiko For garnish; adds a pop of color and a delightful burst of briny flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions.
  • Prepare the vinegar mixture by combining rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Stir until fully dissolved.
  • Fluff the cooked rice with a fork, then gently fold in the vinegar mixture.
  • Spread the rice evenly at the bottom of a baking dish and allow it to cool slightly.

Mixing and Baking

  • In a bowl, mix the diced salmon, mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Stir until well combined.
  • Spread the salmon mixture evenly over the rice in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the top is golden.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with additional chopped green onions, nori strips, and tobiko if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Choose fresh salmon for the best flavor. You can adjust spice levels and try adding panko breadcrumbs for crunch or seafood variations.
