Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces Can substitute with chicken thighs or tenders.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can use gluten-free flour as a substitute.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs Can use gluten-free panko if needed.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust based on spice preference.

For the Sauce

  • cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • ¼ cup sriracha sauce Adjust for desired spiciness.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free version.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Garnish

  • Green onions For optional garnish.
  • Sesame seeds For optional garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined.
  • Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl for coating.

Coating the Chicken

  • Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture, then into the eggs, and finally coat in the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Place the coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet with space between them.

Baking

  • Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.

Making the Sauce

  • While the chicken is baking, combine honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat.

Tossing and Finishing

  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and drizzle the sauce over it, tossing to coat.
  • Return the chicken to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Double-dip chicken for extra crunch. Customize spice levels as desired.
