  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For frying the halloumi.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the halloumi cheese evenly into ½-inch thick pieces.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  • Fry the halloumi slices for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the halloumi from the skillet and set aside to cool slightly.

Vegetable Prep

  • Slice the bell pepper into thin strips.
  • Julienne the cucumber into elegant matchsticks.
  • Finely slice the red onion.
  • Tear the lettuce leaves into manageable pieces.

Assembly

  • Spread a generous tablespoon of sweet chili sauce on each tortilla wrap.
  • Layer on the fried halloumi first, followed by the sliced bell pepper, cucumber, and red onion.
  • Add optional toppings such as avocado, fresh herbs, or pickled vegetables.

Wrapping

  • Fold the bottom edge of the wrap over the filling, then roll it up tightly.
  • Fold the sides in, burrito-style, to secure the filling.
  • Lightly toast the wraps in the skillet or oven for a few minutes until golden.

Serving

  • Serve immediately with additional sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes
