Delightfully spooky cookies that feature rich chocolate chip dough, bright red frosting resembling blood, and slivered almonds to mimic vampire fangs.

Ingredients
  

For the Cookies

  • 1 tube chocolate chip cookie dough You can use store-bought for convenience.

For the Decoration

  • 1 can vanilla frosting Can customize with food coloring.
  • a few drops red food coloring To achieve the bloody appearance.
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows For creating the 'mouth' decoration.
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds To create the fangs.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Roll the cookie dough into 1 ½ inch balls and place them on the baking sheets.

Baking

  • Bake the cookies in the oven until golden brown, about 12 minutes.
  • Once baked, let the cookies cool completely.

Decoration

  • Add a few drops of red food coloring to the frosting and stir until smooth.
  • Cut each cookie in half and spread a thin layer of frosting on each half.
  • Place mini marshmallows around the edges of half of the cookie halves.
  • Stack the remaining halves on top and stick a slivered almond on each side.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days, or freeze for longer storage. Optionally, use gluten-free cookie dough for a gluten-free version.
